Reading Central Salvation Army were astonished to find themselves awarded 3rd prize at the Royal Berkshire County Show for local trade stand category. This was especially welcome as it was their first year at the County Show which attracts over 66,000 people over the weekend. Judge Kate Green (pictured) commented, "The Salvation Army marquee was one of the friendliest, most beautifully set out with activities for the children, wonderful refreshments and clear and professional displays of your wonderful ministry. It was one of the first exhibits we judged this year and we measured other exhibits by your high standards." Kate is pictured presenting the award to Major Iain Hudson.
